Exceptional USA duo Golden Shoals blend old time Appalachian traditions with fine original songwriting and excellent musicianship on acoustic guitar, fiddle and banjo. They combine Americana, bluegrass, folk, jazz and more, blending traditional and contemporary influences to entertaining effect. Amy Alvey and Mark Kilianski formed their musical partnership back in 2013 in Boston, where they both studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

Formerly known as Hoot & Holler, Golden Shoals have released an EP and two albums to date, and have toured extensively across the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany and the UK. They’ve also taken their blend of footstomping traditional tunes and memorable original songs to many festivals including Blackpot in Louisiana, Americanafest in Nashville and Omagh Bluegrass Festival in Northern Ireland. With a lively stage presence to complement their impressive musicianship and glorious vocal harmonies, Golden Shoals are sure to win lots of new fans when they return to the UK in 2024.

Ella Spencer is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in London. Ella’s music draws on her British-American heritage resulting in a sound firmly rooted in Americana which fuses elements of folk and indie, with highly personal lyrics that explore the universals of the human condition. She released her debut single ‘Late Night Train’ in July 2023 followed by a string of opening slots for Evangeline Gentle, The Sam Chase Trio and Jerry Joseph and an appearance at The Maverick Festival.
