The Embers are a five-piece folk and roots band, bringing together the story-telling tradition of British folk music with the soul of Americana and a bluegrass swing.
Performing regularly in London, and at a host of festivals and venues across the UK, they bring sorrowful harmonies, driving rhythms and break-neck fiddle to keep you dancing and sobbing into the night in equal measure. Their debut album 'Stolen from the sea and sky' is out now.
Dublin troubadour Rob Corcoran is a much respected figure on the London roots scene, with folk legend Christy Moore including his version of Corcoran’s brilliant ‘Ringing That Bell’ as a key song in his current touring set. Rob’s lyrically compelling, beautifully observed songs are drenched in Celtic soul, drawing from the same deep wells that serve Van Morrison and Mike Scott so well. Present too is a strong thread of influence from the heart-on-sleeve poetry of John Prine, Hank Williams and Leaonard Cohen.
